A specialist engineering staffing firm, résumé screening cut from 25 minutes to seconds
Problem
Brightsharks Engineering Services places engineers into staff-augmentation, direct-hire, and contract-to-hire roles. Recruiters were processing roughly 20 résumés a week by hand, parsing each document, reformatting it to the firm's standard, and making a FIT / UNFIT judgment call. That's about eight hours of senior-recruiter time a week, or ~$15,000 a year, on one repetitive task.
What we built
An AI workflow that ingests each résumé the moment it arrives, parses and reformats it to the Brightsharks standard, and classifies the candidate FIT or UNFIT against criteria defined with the firm. Every output is logged and auditable; recruiters override anything.
Result
Classification is near-instant instead of 25 minutes per résumé. Recruiters stop seeing candidates who aren't worth their time and get the ones who are, immediately, roughly eight hours a week back for sourcing and client work. On labor savings alone the build pays for itself in under a quarter.
Client quotes
Our recruiters were spending eight hours a week just parsing résumés and deciding who was worth a call. Arion built a system that does both the second a résumé lands, reformatted to our standard and classified against our criteria. Now the team only sees the candidates worth their time, and it paid for itself in under a quarter.
